Milk or Dark Hot Chocolate is the question we are being asked by lots of our customers, thirsty for a warming autumn treat.
So I thought it would be a good idea to share with you the difference between our Milk Hot Chocolate and our Dark Hot Chocolate.
Firstly, the difference is more subtle than you’d think.
Our milk version is 41% chocolate beans and our dark version is 61% chocolate. The extra 20% does make a difference, but it’s subtle. If you like a light, creamy, smooth hot chocolate then opt for the Milk Hot Chocolate. If you like your hot chocolate a little more rounded and deeply satisfying, then go for the Dark Hot Chocolate.
Some customers have asked if the dark version is bitter. I have to stress that it’s not bitter at all and that’s why we went for the 61% chocolate rather than 70%+, so we don’t scare people away! Things can go off the scale if the % is too high.
We’ve noticed comments that some people are now admitting that hot chocolate is their secret pleasure and they drink it alone at home after a long day, perhaps by the fire?
There’s no doubting that hot chocolate is nourishing for the body and for the soul, so if it’s cold and wet outside, perhaps it’s time to snuggle up with your favourite mug full of your favourite version.
